Investor Eligibility & Application Category

Each issue reserves portions for different investor categories. Your category decides your minimum and maximum bid and how allotment works.

Retail Individual Investors

Individuals applying for up to ₹2 lakh in a main board issue. Retail bids can be made at the cut-off price. In SME issues, individual investors apply for a minimum of two lots.

Non-Institutional Investors

Individuals, HUFs, companies and others applying for more than ₹2 lakh. These bids cannot be made at the cut-off price and cannot be withdrawn or lowered at any stage.

Other Categories

Qualified Institutional Buyers, anchor investors, employees and shareholders may have separate reservations, as set out in the offer document.

Application categories and requirements may differ by issue. Confirm that the chosen category is applicable.

Investor, Bank & Payment Details

Apply with your own PAN, demat account and bank account, all in the same name. Third-party bank accounts and UPI IDs are not accepted.

Individual investors bidding up to ₹5 lakh can pay by UPI. Approve the mandate in your UPI app before the cut-off time on the issue closing day, or the bid will not count.

Errors or incomplete authorisation can affect processing.

Application Reference & Status

Each bid gets an application number once submitted. Keep it with your UPI mandate reference or ASBA acknowledgement.

Check bid status on the exchange websites, and allotment status on the registrar's website using your PAN, application number or DP/client ID.

Allotment & Post-Issue Process

Allotment

The registrar finalises the basis of allotment with the designated stock exchange. If an issue is oversubscribed, allotment to individual investors is decided by lottery.

Refunds & Fund-Unblocking

If you get no shares, or fewer than you bid for, the balance is unblocked in your bank account. Under the T+3 listing timeline, this happens within two working days of issue closure.

Official Communications

Allotment results, refund dates and listing dates are published by the registrar and the exchanges. Rely only on these sources and on messages from JDA's registered email and phone channels.

Allotment is governed by the applicable issue process and is not guaranteed.

Pre-Submission Checklist & Support

Before you submit an application, check:

  • Issue deadline
  • Category
  • Bid details
  • Investor information
  • Payment instructions
  • Required authorisation
  • Keep confirmation records

Risk Factors & Independent Review

Public issues involve investment risk, including possible loss. Review the official risk factors, financial information, use of proceeds and terms, and decide in light of your own objectives and risk tolerance.
